Manage Settings section - Creating Custom comparison groups

You can now use multiple comparison categories to create groups in your subject, teaching set and student analysis, including any custom groups you have added. You will be able to create several of these comparison groups to view on one screen.

You will also be able to use this as part of a consortium, comparing students on your roll with those on roll elsewhere, or for those students who are taught in another school/college.

Custom comparisons are available in the subject and student areas of Connect. 


NOTE: At present this functionality relies on local storage, therefore setting up custom comparison groups will only be available where you use the same piece of kit to view Connect. Changing to a different PC, laptop etc will mean you do not have access to this section. 


Creating the custom comparisons

You setup these custom comparisons in the 'Manage Settings' section on the homepage of Connect.



Once in this section, click on the 'Add New Comparison' option in the top right



Then, build your custom comparison group using the drop-down menus to select the analysis pages you want to use the comparison on, the comparison type and the comparison value. 



Your comparison groups will then be saved in this section for future use, so you will no longer have to recreate these custom comparisons every time you login to Connect. 



You can then find these comparisons in either the Subject or Student analysis sections (depending on where you have decided to use the comparison) in the 'Apply Comparisons' drop-down menu under the 'My Comparisons' section.

Clicking on the 'Add New Custom Comparison' option on this drop-down menu will take you back to the manage settings section so you can setup more custom comparisons.
